The Gathering Grounds
The Gathering Grounds
The Gathering Grounds is a dedicated space at MagicCon that is open to all attendees! Designed to celebrate everything that makes us different and lift up those from historically marginalized and underrepresented groups, this is a place to gather, play games, make new connections, promote organizations and more!
We are thrilled to share the organizations that we have partnered with to participate in this space. Learn more about them below and be sure to stop by during the weekend:
MagicCon: Atlanta Charitable Partner
Extra Life
Extra Life is a Children's Miracle Network movement that brings together gamers, tabletop players, content creators and communities who believe play can make an impact. Whether you're a video gamer, tabletop adventurer, content creator, speed-runner, board game enthusiast, or simply someone who wants to make a difference, Extra Life invites you to fundraise your way and support your local children's hospital.
Together, we're proving that the games we love bring people together, helping make big change for all kids.
Community Groups
Birds of Paradise
Birds of Paradise is a group of creators focused on uplifting marginalized members of the Magic: the Gathering community and providing safe and welcoming spaces for gaming.
MelaninMagic
We're an organization pursuing a powerful and uplifting space for Black and Brown Magic players.
Veterans the Gathering
We are a non-profit veterans motorcycle organization that supports all veterans, especially combat veterans. Veterans The Gathering is an effort we started in response to funding cuts in mental health for Vets in WA state. Our aim is to improve mental health, promote prosocial activity, reduce anxiety, depression and aggression through TCG and RPG.
Wizards of the Coast Employee Resource Groups
Wizards Pride
Wizards Pride is dedicated to making Wizards of the Coast an LGBTQ+ inclusive workplace. As an employee resource group, we work to ensure that LGBTQ+ employees feel seen, supported, and celebrated-both within the company and in the broader community. Beyond our internal efforts, Wizards Pride actively engages in work for and in the community, including outside partnerships, annual participation in Seattle Pride and our yearly charity campaigns.
Women of Wizards
Women of Wizards is an employee resource group at Wizards of the Coast committed to supporting the growth and success of women and gender-diverse employees. Our mission is to build an inclusive and supportive workplace by fostering mentorship, career development, and leadership opportunities. Through connection, collaboration, and open dialogue, we aim to empower our members and contribute to a more welcoming and equitable culture — both at Wizards and within the gaming industry.
Disability & Accessibility Alliance Employee Resource Group
The Disability & Accessibility Alliance ERG supports Wizards of the Coast and our parent company, Hasbro, by connecting employees with guest speakers working in the games and accessibility space, organizing meaningful discussions related to accessibility and inclusion, supporting philanthropies, and partnering closely with HR and Senior Leadership on accessibility needs within and beyond the companies.
