Creator Manual
We’re thrilled you’ll be joining us at MagicCon! This manual will help you with everything you need to know before and during the show such as where to go, how to access creator perks, and how to make the most of your time onsite. Thanks for being part of the Magic: The Gathering community!
Creator Connections
Connect with attendees, take photos, and do signings on the show floor. Open to any creator with a creator badge. You'll get an email when sign-ups are open, and slots go first come, first served.
- Free for attendees; full schedule posted online before the show.
- If you're scheduled, be on time and stay at your table for the full slot.
- Questions? Ask the host staff on-site, or escalate to the Creator Central lead.
Spectacle Play and Game Play Table Events
Want to host an event? Check the website for details and application deadlines. Host staff are on hand for both areas - Bring requests or concerns to them or escalate to the Creator Central lead.
Giveaways and Promotional Material
- Selling product during scheduled Creator Central events isn't allowed.
- Giveaways are fine as long as they follow the Fan Content Policy.
- Surprise-and-delight giveaways are where a creator hands out surprise product to random attendees - if you'd like to participate in one, email EventCreators@Wizards.com with subject "Request: Surprise & Delight MagicCon [City]".
- Any giveaway product must be handed out in Creator Central.
Product Giveaways
We cannot guarantee each event will have available stock to provide you to pass out to attendees and fans. If you are interested in doing surprise and delights, please email EventCreators@Wizards.com with the subject line Request: Surprise & Delight MagicCon [City]
Any product provided for surprise and delights must be distributed in the Creator Central area.
Badge FAQs
What's included: weekend access to MagicCon, Command Zone access, and a swag bag (pickup on-site only, badges and bags aren't mailed).
Not included: travel/hotel costs, early or special access, line-skipping, tickets to events requiring separate purchase, or early access to exclusive merch, on-demand events, ticketed play, or meet-and-greets.
Refunds:
- Bought your own attendee badge before your Creator badge was confirmed? Email magicconlv@reedpop.com for a refund.
- No refunds are available for unapproved creator applications, or badges purchased for non-creators.
- If someone else purchased your badge, they should email the same address with your name, creator handle, and their info.
- Ticketed play events aren't covered by the Creator badge and can't be refunded - those tickets stay tied to the email used to register, separate from your badge either way.
Transfers: Attendee badges can be transferred or refunded. Creator badges cannot be transferred or refunded.
Swag Bag Pickup Times
Creator Central, first and last hour of each day only:
- Friday: 10 - 11 AM, 6 - 7 PM
- Saturday: 10 - 11 AM, 6 - 7 PM
- Sunday: 10 - 11 AM, 5 - 6 PM

Some parties or add-on experiences may be open to creators with an RSVP by a set deadline. Watch your email for details, requirements, and deadlines.
